Promotion to finish the season!!

June 3rd 2013

Well the season is over and the boys have gained promotion however, the terrific achievement is tinged with sadness as the team is to disband and not take its place in the top division.

With a number of the players potentially been offered places at higher league clubs the team has decided to call it a day. For over 5 seasons now the boys have been outstanding as have the management as they have won championship cups and promotion. They have also been a credit to the club and themselves and Moflash has been proud to be associated with each and every one of them.

Good luck to all who are moving on to other clubs, we hope to see your names in lights one day (Moflash lights that is of course).

muddy_footballKeep it going!!

February 14th 2013

The 12/13 season is now half way through so we thought that we would give you an update on the boy’s progress.

The lads sit third in the table (the position they finished in last year) but only 3 points behind second place with better goal difference.  With the two teams meeting towards the end of the season, it could be a massive game for promotion.

The boys again, have had a good cup run in making the quarter finals but this will be a big ask to progress as they face a team in a division above them (who are third in the higher division) but who knows.

Good luck lads!

Semi-final finish!!

May 28th 2012

Well the season ended with Ajax finishing 3rd in the B League combined with reaching the semi-final of the League Cup.

The awards presentation evening was successful with individual awards going to:

Player’s Player – William Evans
Most Improved Player – Mathew Gabbitas
Most Consistent / Team Player – George Ingram
Top Goal Scorer – Charlie Bewick

Well done to all the lads. To step up a division and just miss out on promotion is a great effort, we are all looking forward to the new season, says Simon Evans, Sales Director for Moflash.

Rise to the challenge!!

February 15th 2012

Well the season has only three games to run for Ajax and they currently sit in fourth place. There is an outside chance of gaining promotion for the third year in a row but this is a long shot, although the boys should not be down hearted to step up a division and a challenge is a big achievement. “I am sure next year we will see the boys in the A league and with our cup hope still alive we may yet win some silverware this season”.

“Good luck lads for the remaining games” says Simon Evans, Sales Director for Moflash.

Congratulations Central Ajax on the Championship and Promotion

April 21st 2011

Well done lads on winning your first championship in the Coventry League and your first season at 11 a side. Some great football played this year and a great effort by all the players.

Good luck for next year !
Well Done So Far!!!

February 11th 2011

12 games in and Ajax lead the diversion by 4 pts and a game in hand to second place Southam whom they play this weekend. Only 7 games to play after that so looking good unfortunately, out of the cup so no repeat of last year’s double but for a first season in the harder Coventry league the boys have so far done very well, keep it up lads!

2010/2011 Season has started!

February 10th 2011

The 2010/2011 season has kicked off again at Ajax park Moflash is again part sponsoring the club. This year the boys have moved in to the Coventry league opposed to the Warwickshire, after wining league and cup double last year , the new league should present a challenge and of course the boys have now moved up to 11 a side which brings a totally new set of challenges such as the off side rule.

The new look team with a number of new faces have started well winning 6-0 in the first game at home, not sure it will always be like that boys but good luck for the new season head.

Ajax Celebrate 3-2 Win!!!

May 1st 2010 If anyone was to doubt the efforts of Ajax in the final match, they would be mistaken. With tired legs after playing the title decider just 3 days before, sees the most exciting, energetic game for both players and supporters alike. From the first half it look set to be a Kenilworth win however, supreme grit and dedication from Ajax, they pull this straight back leaving plenty of tension and excitement even to the very last 15 mins. Applying constant pressure towards Kenilworth, Ajax scores not just one goal, but also an equaliser to provide even more gripping viewing for supporters on the side.Whose going to win? – no one knows at this stage. The final winning goal was scored with just 5 mins left by Ajax taking the final score to 3-2.The previous couple of games had seen Ajax facing tough competition from 2nd place Fenny Compton who had taken points from Ajax, after showing very skillful techniques in stopping Ajax’s midfield from possession of the ball, and winning their last game away to Warwick gets them the top spot – however, this was only to be for 4 days. As Ajax while playing their away game to Hill Morton, found new energy after being 2 down, then running out at 4-3 winners so a TITLE Season was in the bag, just now a small matter of the cup.

“Great day and great season, well done lads and managers too!” says Simon Evans, Sales Director for Moflash. “It has been a honour and pleasure in sponsoring you over the last 2 years. We wish you all the best in the Coventry league next year and we will certainly be keeping an eye on your results, plus you never know perhaps we can join forces again”

“Moflash Proudly Sponsor Central Ajax”

February 8th 2010 Well just over half way through the season with 10 games played and AJAX are top of the league by 1 point but with a game in hand due to cup fixtures. This Saturday saw the boys progress to the last four of the league cup and so it will be an exciting few weeks with a potential grand finale in April as the last game of season see the boys away to second place Fenny Compton. This should prove to be an interesting fixture as we see the attack minded Ajax take on the defense of Fenny with very little to separate the two teams all season. The league meeting ended in 2-2 draw and the cup game ended in an AJAX victory 1-0 after extra time both games being played at Ajax Park
September 14th 2009Kenilworth Wardens 0 Central Ajax 5First game if the new season saw the boys at local rivals Kenilworth Wardens a fantastic sunny day was capped of by strong Ajax performance taking a 4-0 lead in the first half after a few chances in the second Kenilworth held the the scorer down to 5-0 but the frist signs for the new season look good .
May 29th 2009So the first season that Moflash has been associated with Central Ajax has come to end, and what a season it was. The boys did us proud finishing 3rd in the league. This was their first season of competitive football and both the players and management should be very proud of their achievements. The team played some fantastic football at times. In addition to the League the boys also had some reasonable cup results and a very good tournament at Kenilworth making the semi finals. The team has a new web site shown below where you can see match results, reports and player stats. We are all looking forward very much to the start of the next season. The team have there presentation evening in early June so we will let you in on how it goes.http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/centralajax/
October 21st 2008 “News from the Touchline”Ok, we are 5 games into the season and Central Ajax are joint 3rd with the three victories, 2 defeats, 23 goals scored and 9 conceded so not a bad start. We will keep you posted soon to the teams progress.
 September 22nd 2008 Kenilworth wardens 0 Central Ajax 7

Well the lads got off to a flyer on Saturday. We are not sure if it was the frustration of the game last week being cancelled due to bad weather or Moflashs’ magicical sponsorship powers but the boys played fantastically with every player having a great game .So well done lads!
September 14th 2008 The fixture between central Ajax and Admirals from Rugby was cancelled due to the weather; the fixture will be re-arranged later in the season. Next game is on the 20th of September away to Kenilworth Wardens
September 1st 2008Ok so it’s not the Dutch giants from Amsterdam, but Central Ajax of Warwick. Moflash will have its name and logo on the shirts of the Under 9s this season and is very proud to do so. This well run club operates from its Ajax Park Ground off Hampton Rd Warwick. The 20 acre site sees 14 teams operate and compete across 4 different leagues. The club exists for the sole purpose of the local youngsters’ enjoyment of football, and over the years has been the starting point for professional careers for many players such as BEN FOSTER currently of Manchester United. We will be following the Boys results here over the coming season so good luck lads !
